The only reason my phone and I 'click together' is the camera.

I am not a photographer. If you hand me a modern DSLR, I will probably wreck it before I shoot something. I am not exactly tech-savvy. The most terrifying part of any app on my phone is the settings. My entire expertise in taking pictures lies in twirling my phone twice to turn on the camera, pointing at random things, and tapping the shutter button. The whole exercise is usually over in under five seconds.

The reason I have this photo journal is that I pause very often… while driving, on my walks, even when running errands. When I pause, I look around. Each look-around reminds me of someone who might love to see what I just saw. It is more for the sake of friends and family that I click pictures. Truth be told, there is little passion or creativity at play here.

Interestingly, once upon a time, I used to use an actual camera. An Olympus LT Zoom 105. A leather-wrapped, weather-resistant autofocus device with a pop-up flash and a decent 38–105 mm zoom. You could barely see anything through the viewfinder, but the results were amazing. I remember making the 36 exposures of a 35 mm ISO 200 roll last for days-long family events and entire weekend getaways. Now I click that many pics every time it rains for fifteen minutes. The volume ensures a few of them turn out fine. Here I share those few… few at a time.
